Transporting Assets

  1. To import (or transport) assets, first go to a blog's asset listing screen. Transported assets will be added to the assets for this blog.

  2. Click the Transport Assets link which will open the following dialog box. Simply enter a full (or absolute) path to the file (or directory which contains the files) you wish to transport (e.g. /home/melody/public_html/images/). Also enter a publicly accessibly URL for the corresponding folder entered above (e.g. http://melody.com/images/).

    Start Asset Transporter
  3. If you entered a file in the previous step, it will be transported directly and the asset listing screen will refresh and should show you your newly transported asset. If you entered a directory, you will be presented with the following step:

    Transport Directory

You are provided with three choices:

    * Transport **all files** found in the entered directory
    * Choose exactly the files you wish to import. Selecting this option will display a table which lists all the files AssHAT found in the directory. Simply check the boxes against the files you wish to transport.
    * Transport all files matching a certain **file extension**. Choosing this option will display a text field that will allow you to enter the file extension.

  4. Clicking Next will import all files. Depending on how many files are being transported and the speed of your Internet connection, you may see an intermediary step:

Transporter Progress
