Installing LivePreview
Extract the distribution and preserve the directories. The directories that have been extracted correspond to the directories in your Movable Type installation. Upload these directories to your Movable Type installation such that file structure looks like so:
MT_DIR/ |__ plugins/ | \__ LivePreview/ | |__ livepreview.pl | | | |__ lib/ | |__ LivePreview.pm | |__ LivePreview/ | \__ App.pm | |__ mt-static/ | \__ plugins/ | \__ LivePreview/ | |__ topnav.html | | | |__ images/ | | \__ indicator.gif | | | |__ js/ | |__ prototype.lite.js | |__ moo.fx.jsIf the plugin was successfully installed, you should see something similar to this on the Plugins listing under System Overview.

Important: You must disable or remove the BigPAPI plugin (if installed) for LivePreview to work. BigPAPI is no longer required with Movable Type 3.31.
LivePreview has two settings that can be (optionally) configured. The first allows you to override the
Previewbutton on the new/edit entry screen. If checked, on clicking thePreviewbutton, you will get a LivePreview (rather than Movable Type's built in preview). If unchecked, aLivePreviewbutton will be added alongsidePreview. This option can be set at both the system and blog levels (with blog level configuration overriding system level)

The second option can only be configured at the blog level and allows you to change the archive template that is used for the LivePreview. By default, your preferred archive type (as set under
Blog Settings > Publishing) is used. However that can be changed by going toBlog Settings > Plugins > LivePreview > Show Settingsand choosing a different template from the drop down menu.
